had to rename the blog. it was something that sounded good three years ago when i created this, but doesn't really sound as good floating around in the world. this is from a patty griffin song i've been stuck on for the past two weeks. saw a performance of her on PBS from Austin City Limits, phenomenal. i love when you see someone sing and they look nothing like you expected. her voice is so intense i imagined she would look intense when she sang it, but not so. it looks so effortless coming out of her. anyway, i'm sure the name will change again soon.

also playing with the color scheme a bit... no one wants to hear about this, but if you object to my color rendering just know it's in the works.
