it's almost too bad to have a blog that everyone knows about, because then i can't diffuse my deepest, darkest secrets. blog being what it is, i'll keep my entries vanilla.

the gang went tubing on the delaware river, on the ny/jersey border. amazing there's a river there... and trees, and nature. beautiful. i did feel bad, though, because Friend A's dog bit Friend B on the finger. the dog's not so very friendly, but it was abused as a pup and we're trying to be patient with it. where do you draw the line and tell Friend A they can no longer bring their dog? the line has probably already been crossed, i still feel bad about it though. for all parties involved.

i knitted my first scarf, but then forgot to take a picture and gave it away as a gift. i'm now working on scarf number two, will definitely take a picture.

i had TA orientation this past week. they taught us a lot about teaching, it makes me anxious to get started. some days i find myself thinking i should just stay here to get my PhD, i'm trying not to do what just feels easiest.
