so it's entirely possible that knitting goes hand in hand with graduate school. it seems that everyone ~my age that knits is in grad. school. why is this?

it was my mom's birthday last weekend and i sent her a scarf. it was the second i'd completed, but the first project i started (do the math.) with no new projects planned and two scarves under my belt i decided to branch out. i completed my first hat last night (it went so quick!) it's a little funky, because i thought my head was bigger than it actually is. but i adjusted before it was too late.

in other news, i love geology. geologists are good folk. and i'm going to be one of bridget's bridesmaids! i look forward to seeing the planning process from the outside.

that's about it for now. except fall is falling. i love it so much. it has just the right degree of impending doom to make you fully appreciate the last bits of good weather. and then snow hits, in not too long! seasons are great, i could never live in florida.
