well, i have two finals and a paper due, tomorrow. after playing just about as many internet games as anyone can stomache and reading the blogs of all my friends, i decided i need to update this here beastie.

grad. school's a great grand time; it is often weird to think that i was still in bosnia at this time last year. i had just filed my paperwork to get out (after kerry lost the election) and had no idea of my future. crazy.

aaron and i are much into the christmas spirit, but add to that lots of blunders on my part. i knocked over the christmas tree last week. crash. only one ornament broken, and the candy canes weren't yet on the tree. could have been much worse. now it is back up, and tied to the wall so that i don't knock it down again.

the mouse situation, i thought, was better. until i heard a trap go off while i was studying last week. i was horrified, and went over to see a mouse in death throes. aaron doesn't understand my sentiments; he sees similar things (minus the trap) all day, and doesn't have much sympathy for a mouse.

i wish we could just put up signs outside the house for the mice: don't come here, we're not mouse friendly.

okay, i should get back to my paper. it's about TEX86, a "novel new temeperature proxy." woohoo, love it.
